Watch Barcelona beneath your feet! Tibidabo viewpoint is a fantastic place to enjoy Barcelona city.
It is 516 meters high and forms part of Natural Park of Collserola. Moreover, the most incredible thing about this place is that sometimes, when the air is so clear you might see Mallorca Island. Founded in 1901, Tibidabo was a zone for high society with buildings made in modernist style. Since then also, exist a famous Blue Tram one of the primary symbols of Barcelona transport system. One year later, in 1902 Giovanni Bosco founded the temple of “Sagrat Cor” what was ended only in 1961. Nowadays, you have the opportunity to take an elevator, go to the top of this temple, and admire Barcelona from 575 meters.
A lot of surprises are waiting for your almost in every corner of the park. Start your route with Camí del Cel (The Road to Heaven), the perfect way to see spectacular views of Barcelona. This route have no fee, you have not to pay for the entrance to the park, but you have many things to discover. Among the Camí del Cel also you could visit the Museum of Automata and its famous collection where you can find the most antique example made in 1880. Even Walt Disney would like to buy this collection during his visit to Tibidabo.
About 550 meters high at the lateral side of the temple, you can see a Carrousel, an authentic pearl made in 40’s. Then, just in few steps, you can see a Plane, the most emblematic attraction, the first flight simulator and the copy of the first plane that realised the route Barcelona – Madrid.
