Real Club de Golf El Prat
The Real Club de Golf El Prat was the first golf club in the city of Barcelona. As the city grew, it settled between El Prat and the sea (the year 1954), then moved again (in 1997) and settled on the Bonvilar estate. Currently, this golf course is located 26 kilometers from Barcelona, between Terrassa and Sabadell.
Greg Norman designed 45 holes in a course that suits every style and level of the players. The holes are distributed in seven itineraries you will fall in love with, because of the beautiful surroundings. The club offers catering services, a children’s club, a swimming pool, paddle tennis, a gym and rooms for events.
Golf Sant Cugat
The Golf Sant Cugat is the oldest in Catalonia. It was designed by the English architect H.S.Colt, and the engineers of Barcelona Traction Light & Power, locally known as “The Canadian” or “La Canadiense” in Spanish), started playing here in 1914.
It is a club with a lot of history and tradition. Severiano Ballesteros debuted here as a professional when he was 17 years old.
Each of its 19 holes has a name of its own, all of them related to a British tradition.
It offers catering services, swimming pool, children’s area, golf lessons, shop, gym, therapists and Caddy Master.
Golf Club Sant Vicenç
The Golf Club Sant Vicenç is located in the town of Sant Vicenç de Montalt, 35 km from Barcelona capital. It has an 18-hole course adapted to all levels.
There you can find a golf school, bar and restaurant, shop and catering for groups.
Besides, it has a training area for short game, where it is possible to practice and perfect putt strokes, and an approach green for medium distance shots.
Golf Club of Barcelona
The Golf Club of Barcelona is located 37 kilometers from the city of Barcelona, in the town of Sant Esteve Sesrovires.
With 2 different routes and a driving range for 120 players, it has a clubhouse of over 6,000 square meters, heated indoor pool, two outdoor pools, squash court, saunas, restaurant, shop and meeting rooms, among other services.
Both itineraries have been designed by José María Olazábal. Masia Bach, with 18 holes and 6,271 meters, is where the competitions are held; Sant Esteve, with 9 holes and 1,780 meters, is flatter and perfect for a pleasant and relaxing day of golf.
Golf Terramar
If you want to play golf with the sea as a backdrop, you will fall in love with the Golf Terramar in Sitges. This golf course is located in a coastal area, and the weather is very pleasant throughout the year there.
The 18-hole course was founded in 1927 and is the seventh oldest in Spain. In this club you can find services such as bar and restaurant, shop and golf school. On the other hand, it has a multisport area to practice other activities such as tennis, paddle tennis, soccer, fitness, swimming or basketball.
Golf Club Vallromanes
The Golf Club Vallromanes is located 25 kilometers from Barcelona, in the town with the same name. The golf course was designed by Mr. FW Hawtree in 1972. In addition to a spectacular 18-hole course where you can play, you will also find other services such as restaurant, golf school, kids club, shop, driving range, putting green, swimming pool, tennis and paddle court, and massage service, among others.
If you visit this golf course, surely you will be surprised by the impressive Torre Taberna, a club located in a beautiful stately mansion.
Golf Club Llavaneres
The Golf Club Llavaneres (Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, 34 kilometers from Barcelona) is one of the oldest private clubs in Catalonia. It was founded in 1945 and has 18 holes on an itinerary that could be a little bit difficult for beginners, where you can enjoy the fantastic views of the sea.
It has restaurant and bar services, shop, games room and equipment rental. To practice and perfect the technique visitors have at their disposal a practice tee with capacity for 20 players, approach area and two putting green. The club also has a golf school.
