Carrer de Bisbe & Barri Gòtic

Barcelona’s most iconic street is Carrer del Bisbe, crowned by the Bishop’s Bridge, which is one of the most immortalized spots of the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, from which you can see a beautiful bridge that connects the Palau de la Generalitat with the Casa dels Canonges and which was built in 1929 for the Universal Exhibition. On the bridge, the motif of the skull pierced by a dagger stands out and you can appreciate it under the walkway. This POI is surrounded by multiple legends and mysteries. One of these legends states that if you walk backwards across the bridge and look at the skull, you will be granted a wish. Nothing is lost by giving it a try! And once you’re done you can head further into the Gotic quarter for some more atmospheric shots for your Instagram feed – including one of the city’s hidden squares, plaça de Sant Felip Neri.
